DMCA / Copyright Policy

About this policy

Draft — pending owner approval. This DMCA / Copyright Policy is not final and is not ready for production use. Proposed effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE].

Operator: [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. General contact: [CONTACT EMAIL]. A Cook offers a Dish, an app source-code listing; a Buyer obtains use permission through a License. A Kitchen Report assesses a version and does not prove copyright ownership.

Designated agent contact

No designated agent contact has been published. Proposed agent: [DMCA AGENT NAME AND ADDRESS]. Proposed email: [CONTACT EMAIL]. These bracketed fields are not working contact channels. The owner must confirm the agent details, appropriate registration and monitored channel before launch. This draft does not claim DMCA safe-harbor eligibility.

Only the copyright owner or an authorized representative should submit a formal infringement notice. Use Report for suspected stolen code and send a formal notice to the confirmed designated agent once published. Include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature and whether you act for the owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list for multiple works.
  • Identification and location of the allegedly infringing material, including the Dish URL and version if known, sufficient for us to find it.
  • Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement of good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

Do not include passwords, private keys or unrelated personal data. A general content report is not necessarily a complete legal notice. Knowingly material misrepresentations in notices or counter-notices may carry legal consequences.

Review and takedown

An admin reviews the notice, may ask for missing information and may suspend access while investigating. Where applicable, we remove or disable access expeditiously and inform the affected Cook so they can respond. Moderation may also remove content under the Content Policy independently of a copyright claim.

Takedown does not automatically erase retained transaction records, decide ownership, refund every Buyer or revoke every License. Admins assess purchase consequences under the Refund Policy. Do not assume a Kitchen Report cleared third-party rights.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the confirmed agent. Include your physical or electronic signature, the removed material and its former location, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.

Include your name, address and telephone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the US Federal District Court for the district where your address is located, or, if outside the United States, a district where the service provider may be found; and a statement that you will accept service of process from the original notifier or their agent.

Where the US DMCA procedure applies, we forward a valid counter-notice to the original notifier. Restoration follows the statutory period of 10–14 business days after receipt unless the agent first receives notice of a court action seeking to restrain the infringement. Separate policy grounds can still prevent republication. This is distinct from an ordinary admin appeal. See the US Copyright Office's Section 512 guidance.

Repeat infringement and privacy

The proposed policy is to terminate repeat infringers' accounts in appropriate circumstances and restrict further infringing uploads. Decisions consider the notices, responses and evidence, not simply the existence of an accusation.

Notice and counter-notice information may be shared with the affected parties, advisers and authorities as needed for the process. A counter-notice is not anonymous. See the Privacy Policy. For other moderation appeals, contact the admin at [CONTACT EMAIL].
