About these terms
Draft — pending owner approval. These Terms are not final and are not ready for production use. Proposed effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE].

The marketplace
A Buyer obtains source code through the marketplace. A Cook offers it, personally or through a studio. A Dish is an app source-code listing with its description, versions and related materials. A License is permission to use a Dish under the selected tier, not ownership of its copyright. A Kitchen Report is the automated assessment of a particular Dish version.
Cooks supply their Dishes and remain responsible for their content and rights. CookThisApp provides discovery, analysis, checkout, delivery and moderation. A studio is a public brand linked to its Cook; it does not by itself identify a separate legal business. Cooks may sell as private persons.
Accounts and public activity
Sign in with an email magic link, GitHub or Google. Keep your email and sign-in links secure and use accurate account information. Do not impersonate others or bypass access controls.
Your username and public profile activity can be seen by others. Optional first and last names in profile settings are private and never shown to other users, including the other party to a purchase. Request posts, including budgets, are public. Do not put confidential information in public posts.
Transactional emails are always enabled. Marketing requires opt-in consent, which you can change in profile settings. See the Privacy Policy.
Orders and payments
Review the Dish version, description, License tier, update entitlement and checkout total before ordering. Paid checkout uses Stripe; Cook onboarding and payouts use Stripe Connect Express. Payments currently operate in test mode. A test order is not evidence of a live payment or bank payout. Free orders skip Stripe.
CookThisApp charges a platform fee on paid sales. Cooks are responsible for their applicable taxes; tax treatment and collection at checkout depend on applicable rules. See the Cook Agreement. Payment is confirmed by payment processing, not by returning to a success page alone.
Licenses and delivery
The License Terms explain Personal and Commercial use. Keep the included license and copyright notices. Do not resell the source, publish it in public repositories or share download links outside your permitted use.
Delivery uses a per-License watermarked archive containing a LICENSE file named LICENSE-COOKTHISAPP.txt. Signed links expire after 15 minutes. The limit is 20 downloads per License, per version, per day. Expiration of a link does not itself end a valid License; request another through your account.
We retain download evidence including time, hashed IP address, user agent and archive hash. Watermarks help investigate unauthorized redistribution; they do not establish by themselves who leaked code.
Reports and product limits
Kitchen Reports combine automated scans, build checks and AI analysis through OpenRouter and a third-party AI provider. Source is processed in isolated environments. Reports may miss defects or contain errors, and describe the assessed version and conditions. They do not guarantee security, ownership, build success in every environment, fitness for your purpose or future maintenance.
Review the listing and report before purchase. You are responsible for configuring, testing and securing your deployment and third-party services. Support may be arranged and paid for directly between Buyer and Cook. CookThisApp does not take payment for support and is not a party to any support agreement.
Refunds and disputes
For source-code purchases, the Refund Policy provides a full self-service refund within 14 days of payment when nothing in the purchase has been downloaded, and a 14-day source-code dispute process for material differences from the listing. A Cook may respond; an admin decides. AI may recommend an outcome, but a human decides. These refund and dispute processes do not apply to support arranged directly with a Cook; CookThisApp does not refund those support payments or handle support disputes.
A chargeback freezes the License while unresolved. A chargeback won by the platform restores the License, subject to any independent restriction. A full refund revokes the License. These marketplace rules do not remove mandatory consumer rights.
Conduct and account closure
Follow the Content Policy. Use Report for suspected abuse or contact [CONTACT EMAIL]. Admins may suspend or remove content and restrict accounts for violations. Send appeals and supporting evidence to the admin at [CONTACT EMAIL]. Copyright cases follow the DMCA / Copyright Policy.
Account deletion ends authenticated access through that account; it does not by itself revoke an existing legal License. Deleting a Cook account unpublishes Dishes while preserving other Buyers' purchased-version access. Legal and transaction records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.
Responsibility, changes and law
Cooks are responsible for their descriptions, rights and supplied code. Buyers are responsible for their use. Nothing here excludes liability or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Report limitations do not excuse misleading listings or malicious code.
These drafts may change before approval. Published agreement and License versions identify the text associated with acceptance or issuance; a later edit does not silently replace those records. Proposed governing law and court: [GOVERNING LAW / COURT], subject to mandatory consumer protections. Contact [CONTACT EMAIL] about these Terms.
