Refund Policy

About this policy

Draft — pending owner approval. This Refund Policy is not final and is not ready for production use. Proposed effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE].

Operator: [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL]. A Buyer obtains a Dish, an app source-code listing, from a Cook. A License is the permission issued for the selected tier. A Kitchen Report is an automated assessment of a specific version.

Payments currently use Stripe test mode. The rules below describe the proposed purchase policy; test payments do not produce real-money refunds.

Full refund before download

Request a full self-service refund from your purchase page within 14 days of payment if nothing under the purchase has been downloaded. The window starts when the order is paid, not when checkout is opened, and ends when 14 full days have elapsed. Free orders have no payment to refund. An already refunded order or pending refund cannot be refunded again through this flow.

A recorded download makes the purchase ineligible for this self-service route. Issuing a signed download link creates a download record; a file does not have to be opened or run for that record to exist. If delivery failed, include details in your dispute or contact [CONTACT EMAIL].

Problems after download

After download, change-of-mind refunds are not offered under the marketplace policy. You may open a source-code dispute from the purchase page within 14 days of payment if the delivered Dish is materially not as described and self-service refund is unavailable.

Examples include missing features advertised as implemented, malicious code, or failure to build using the documented setup where the listing or Kitchen Report represented that it builds. Explain the advertised claim, what you received, your environment and reproduction steps. Include evidence without credentials or unrelated personal data. A disclosed limitation alone does not establish a misleading listing.

Human review

The Cook is notified and may provide evidence. An admin reviews the listing and purchase snapshot, delivered version, Kitchen Report, download evidence and submissions, and may arrange further analysis. Review need not wait for a Cook response; silence alone does not grant a refund. Opening a marketplace dispute does not itself freeze the License or stop downloads.

AI may recommend an outcome, but a human admin decides whether to grant a full refund, partial refund or reject the claim. The outcome is recorded. Send additional evidence or a request to review the decision to the admin at [CONTACT EMAIL]. This does not extend the in-product filing window.

Refund effects

Refunds use Stripe and the original payment route, subject to processor and bank handling times. A full refund revokes the License and ends downloads and update access. Stop using refunded code and delete copies except records you must legally retain. A partial refund's License effect is stated in the admin decision; it does not automatically revoke every License.

Refunds reverse corresponding Cook proceeds and applicable fee entries. Amounts already paid out may be recovered through the Cook's balance or future sales. Do not seek duplicate recovery through simultaneous refund routes.

Chargebacks

A card chargeback is a separate process through Stripe and payment institutions. It freezes the License and download access while unresolved. Evidence may include purchase and License snapshots, acceptance records, Kitchen Reports, download times, hashed IP addresses and archive hashes.

If the chargeback is won by the platform, the License is restored unless another valid restriction applies. A lost chargeback does not restore it. Marketplace windows do not set the bank's chargeback deadlines.

Support and statutory rights

Support may be arranged and paid for directly between Buyer and Cook. CookThisApp does not take payment for support and is not a party to any support agreement. This policy’s refund and dispute processes apply to source-code purchases, not to support. CookThisApp does not refund direct support payments or handle support disputes.

Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights or remedies for defective digital content. Starting a download does not by itself establish every legal condition for losing a statutory withdrawal right. Contact [CONTACT EMAIL] about a statutory claim even when the marketplace window has ended. See the Terms and License Terms.
