The app marketplace

How it works

A Kitchen Report checks an app’s source code. Buy an app to make your own, or sell the source code of your app.

For buyers

Start with a working app. Spend your time making it yours.

  1. Search for what you need

Search the catalog for the app you want to build.

  2. Find similar apps

Compare similar apps, explore their features, and try a demo when available.

  3. Check the Kitchen Report: features and security checks

Review the checks, findings, and limitations to understand what is ready and what needs work.

  4. Get the source code

Review the price, license, and support terms before checkout. Open Purchases and select Download on a completed purchase to get the source ZIP.

  5. Add your own changes

Open the source in your editor and adapt it to your needs. Your purchase records support terms and contact details, when provided.

Fees and payouts

Your first 100 sales: 0% commission.

Founders (first 100 developers): first 300 sales at 0% commission.

After your free sales, our commission is 12% of each sale. When a buyer uses your own link, you pay half: 6%, forever.

You pay Stripe’s payment processing fees. Paid out monthly once your balance reaches $25. Stripe's fees of $2 + 0.25% + 25¢ are deducted from each payout.

Accounts and studios

Your account is you: your purchases stay private, and payouts and the Developer Agreement are in your name. A studio is your brand on CookThisApp, with its own public page. You can have up to 5 studios, and each one shows who runs it.

Take it. Change it. Use it.
